Do you keep Cat caged while traveling

We used to travel with 2 cats (they made it to 20 & 18 years of age). They rarely travel in carriers mainly because they liked to go under the coach in our first coach. We had to slide the front panel a little to the side but they would both ride under there until we stopped moving so it wasn't really necessary to confine them.

I would recommend having the carrier out and available to be used if necessary. You may find that she prefers to ride in the carrier with the door left open especially if she sees it as a safe place.
