I just want to say I'm so sorry for your loss of Lexi and can relate well to that cannonball you're carrying around. We had a sealpoint Siamese from 5 weeks to 16 yrs and I still remember how painful his loss was. They do have an expiration date we can't see under all that fur, but it's just as well, so we don't spend time grieving before we have to. It's wonderful that you are thinking about a new traveling buddy. I am betting a good rescue will know their cats well enough to recommend a candidate.
