We traveled with two for the first four years of retirement. We never had an issue. In fact, they often were the hit of the campground and office where there is no Greyhound racing, and thus not a lot of Greyhounds seen there.
Retired racing Greyhounds are awesome companion animals as you have already seen. Mostly they are seen in groups of two or more because like potatoes chips: "You can't have just one."
