Dog Boarding

Planning on going to the FL Keys for 2 weeks in early May. We will be staying at Long Key. Planning on doing our obligatory day trip to Key West. This is the first time we will be traveling with our puppy. He'll be a year and a half by then, but I still don't feel comfortable leaving him by himself all day until late at night. Just wondered if anyone had any recommendations for dog boarding for that one day. Thanks in advance!

    Can't recommend a boarding facility but I would suggest you check with your local vet for required vaccinations in FL and bring all the paperwork.

    Thanks for the suggestion. We're up to date according to GA. I'll certainly check and see if any additions are needed for FL.

    The places we use in Minnesota want to "pre-qualify" the dog before they accept them for boarding. It takes a couple of days to process the application. You might want to call ahead, explain your situation, and see what policies are at the local boarding places in Florida.
