We have a 5th wheel toy hauler that has an inside switch for the generator. Press the switch and wait for the generator to start then release. I don't know if regular campers have that option, but you might check. A motor home requires a spare auto being hauled or breaking camp to go somewhere, unlike the travel trailer or fifth wheel that you just unhook.
