Those male wraps work well. When we first got our MH, we had an old boy - 15 y/o. I put a cloth wrap around him with a baby diaper laid inside.
YOu just need to watch that the dog doesn't get the pad or diaper out and consume any of it. Some of those products have a gel type stuff in them, which is what absorbs the urine.
