Sorry, but I do NOT have experience with GPS systems. I had a similar experience, when we moved from a fenced yard to a 12 acre farm. We had two dogs with us, and acquired a few more. The property was not fenced.
We really worked on 'periphery' training with the dogs, and put field bells on them. Clicker and whistle training, also. Fortunately, all of our dogs were food motivated. Also, we choose non-Alpha dogs, so they do not challenge our authority.
