We've had several breeds, and have been happiest with a Cairn terrier. Small. It very sturdy. They love people and don't really like being one too much. Essentially no shedding, and only need grooming once every 4 to 6 months, depending on how long you want the hair. They look a little like a Westie, but are stronger and have a more mellow personality. Either would be good, but the Cairn although not as common, is better in a RV (my sister has a Westie).
