I would check out PACC 911... Phoenix Animal Care Coalition. There are tens of thousands of dogs in the Phoenix area that need a good home. They might be able to direct you to a couple of foster homes in the Tucson area too.
Seems a shame to shell out big bucks for a dog from a breeder, when there are so many dogs in need that deserve to be spolied.
You can get the number online. Talk to Dee, and she will steer you in the right direction to find one. They also have specific breed rescues, if you know what you are looking for.
