We have had adopted rescue of different breeds and thought each was the best dog. We currently have a Japanese Chin (Japanese Spaniel) but all of ours have been small dogs. Whenever we were ready to look for a dog, we never had a breed in mind. We started checking local rescue groups thru petfinder.com and each time, when we visited an adoption event they were holding, there was that 1 particular dog that just grabbed us. We never adopted a dog - the dog chose us.
