I would 2nd and 3rd and fourth for a greyhound.. They must be kept on a lease outside,,,
They are big, gentle, and ours was quiet (very rarely barked). Ours had gas; didn't always know where his back legs were which made getting up the stairs of our TT a challenge for him. They have tender skin, easily ripped/cut (compared to many other breeds). Ours got cold easily (very little fur and body fat) which was solved with a coat. He loved attention and attracted attention because of his size. If they are off leash outside and decide to take off, they are gone in just a few steps (which is why the typically warning about never off leash). Like most dogs they do cue when they are thinking about giving chase; you just need to be paying attention (important even when on leash so they don't lunge and take you off your feet).
I don't recommend a Border Collie.
