We used 10 foot dog chains connected to the frame of our RV. This allowed the dogs to move into the sun or go under the RV for shade.
I would place their bowl of water at the end of the length of chain. This kept them from dragging the bowl with the chain.
Here's a tip with "new to" camping dogs.... Keep a couple of empty soda cans with some pebbles or pennies in them. Tape up the hole so the pebbles/pennies won't come out. If your dogs bark too much you can say their names, say no and then rattle the can each time they bark. Eventually you'll just have to reach for the can and they will stop barking.
Most RV parks have little tolerance for constantly barking dogs.
