I have 2 little dogs. They are put on flexi leashes attached to the door and they hop outside to do their business. I put my chair outside for them to lift their leg on or they use the tire. Because they are on the raw meaty bone diet their poop is round and dry and easily picked up close to my RVan. I dont walk my dogs for several reasons mainly because I dont want them killed by out of control dogs but also I dont want them exposed to diseases carried by other dogs and/or wild animals (I am a microbiologist so this is not a flight of fantasy).
I live in the city in a neighborhood filled with dogs. We also have "tree lawns" between the sidewalk and the road. I have never understood those walking their dogs that let them wander onto neighbors lawns to pee and poop rather than confine their dogs to the tree lawns. One day weeding my garden that edges the sidewalk I find a huge dog dump that wasnt even picked up. What is wrong with people who cant train their dogs where and when to go? The commands are simple, "no, no" as you pull the dog away from someone else's lawn and point them towards the tree lawn, and "hurry up" to encourage them to go NOW, followed by a little treat when they respond. There are lots of websites online with instructions how to teach this to a dog. Even when picked up poop typically leaves a "smear" which is not nice for bare feet. It is rude and inconsiderate to let dogs go on other people's CG sites or lawns.
