When you say the dog was pooping "in your campsite", does that mean that the owner walked it down by your trailer/MH, or was he doing his business by the side of the road?
The other thing I got a giggle out of was the idea that I, a 73 year old woman, should pick up my 81 pound puppy and carry him to the doggie area. Fortunately, he is good about waiting to get to a non-campsite area to do his business...and even then we always carry and use poop bags. I find that the ones who neglect to do this are usually the people with little dogs. Apparently it isn't necessary to pick up a little pile of poop.
I don't think I'v ever found so much humor about a topic as I have with this one.
What I find totally gross are the picnic tables. Can you imagine what's happened on some of those sometimes?? :E
I can get my Lab to go on command. But when we're walking the campground, there's no amount of saying "NO" that will work if he's determined to dump a load. I don't let him wander into someone's campsite in the event that he'll feel the urge. But I like the idea of a DMZ. There's always a kind of "buffer" that I consider to be non-campsite territory.
I'll never view walking my Lab and beagle through a campground the same way again.
Wow ... :h
