Why not set up an X pen with some turf carpet inside and train her to go there so she doesnt have to walk too far anymore?

Gretchen is a BIG dog, 80lbs, tall and long. There is just no way I can set up something like an X pen that would accommodate her. If she was some sort of toy breed I might consider it.
