I'm with the majority here-a dog's gotta go when a dog's gotta go. As long as the pet is cleaned up after, what's the issue? Some things are just out of your control.
I'm still stunned that it was posted on the Pet forum (smack forehead).
In a perfect world, we could say to our dogs "Please hold it until we get to the dog park 300 yards away" and they would. In a perfect world, all dog owners would be physically able to walk briskly 300 yds to the dog park. But the fact remains that dogs will seek a place to relieve their bladders, and sometimes that falls short of the designated area..... or (more likely) they've detected a "potty place" where other dogs have done the same. How does the OP know that his site doesn't carry the scents of MANY markings?
I try to steer my guys to a non-site, non-landscaped place if one is available; but many parks just don't have those kind of places.
But it's not just dogs - twice now, in my camping experiences, I've witnessed men urinating on trees. In RV parks. On sites with RVs that surely had bathrooms; not to mention public restrooms.
We probably don't want to know what goes on, on the site that we rent.....LOL!! ;-)
