I had a feeling I was misusing the word "boondocking". Running your gen in WM's parking lot is tacky? Ruh roh. Trying to sleep without any air moving seems like it would be uncomfortable.
I never intended to leave the critters in the trailer while moving. That was one of the first things I stumbled over when I started researching way back when -- no living beings in the towed trailer! Apparently the motion is very different and quite unpleasant.
I'm not too keen on the idea of leaving the 4Ls in the truck with it running. We had to disconnect the auto-starter because it was killing the batteries, so we'd have to do it with keys.
Thanks for the tip about the slides. If I know me, I'd keep them crated til everything was set up just so I didn't have to worry about tripping over them while I'm working ;)

Believe it or not, I'm finding quite a few decent listings for motorhomes in our price range. The problem is, I'm either finding them 10 minutes after they sold, or I can't get the seller to respond.
