Dogs in Heaven
The Pope says that dogs can get into Heaven. Previous Popes all said that they couldn't. LINK

I'm always careful when reading a secular news source about a statement from a religious leader because news people often try to drum up controversy to get readers. Catholics have different kinds of "teaching modes". The Pope wasn't speaking infallibly or trying to reverse Benedict. He was consoling a young boy.
That said, I'm glad to see him comforting "dog lovers".:W
