Our dog is drools the hole time we are in RV or Car. We have trying almost every normal way. What have some of you other dog lovers try..We save him from a pound no what has happened to him, He is half border collie & half Pyrenees and 71 pounds

We med ours up for a long travel day. Talk to your vet and ask him/her what meds and how much would help.

We had a similar thing happening with our rescue Maggy but on top of drooling, she tries to get herself under my DH's feet while he is driving. We put a board to block her from between the two front seats and put her Thunder Shirt on her. She weighs about 85 lbs and this seems to help her relax a bit. We have had her for more than 2 years now and have been across Canada and back and forth to AZ several times so I had hoped that she would finally become comfortable but the fact that being a rescue, it is difficult to understand what her life was previously so we just try and do the best we can for her when we travel.Thank you for giving a rescue a second chance.

To help our dogs while traveling, we put their soft crates up on the bed in the back. They always rode in their crates, whether in the cars, or in the motorhome. They did not to like riding out where they had to always were trying to keep their balance during travel. In their crates, they could just curl up in a familiar location, and usually sleep. It has always seemed cruel to us to let animals ride loose, and have a lot more possibility of injury to themselves.

Male rid s in his bed between seats and may move for a pet or of course a snack if we are munching. Very calm. His sister rides in her crate with blanket over it and is not at ease but best in crate and that is her clhoice. Both seem to like their thunder shirts. We have some meds and will use them for long days. Male would ride on dash if we let him. Female thinks traveling at this speed is crazy. She get's in the crate when engine starts and comes out when it is off. Just stopping rarely gets her out a unless we call for her. Love having pups with us.
