El Jefe.
BUT definitely NOT a pet!! Just leave it alone - IF you are lucky enough to see it (him/her??)
And keep your fur children close and out of reach of the Jefe so that they do not become a meal for him. - Deb_and_Ed_MExplorer IIA cat that size would make me nervous for my snack-sized dogs.....

True, but there are mountain lions and bobcats in that area already, so one more cat won't make much difference. I doubt a big dog would be much of a match for El Jefe either.
We've camped at Patagonia Lake State Park not far from there and they have signs posted about mountain lion sightings. We keep the dogs on a leash and never leave them alone outside the trailer.
