Its really hard to comment....... Our Vet is very reasonable but we LOL get the multiple pet rate..... Our vet also deals with livestock.....our area is depressed was at 20% unemployment.........so charging high rates would put him out of business.......instead he charges low rates & gets plently of business..........
A lot is supply & demand.......... We have been going to our vet for 20 years & knows us by first name ( we take up to 6 dogs there ours & our sons).........
But we realize that out of our area away from home it would cost us a lot more for an emergency............ Our last emergency at our vet with stitches & walking in at closing, anesthesia & overnight boarding (the vet had to stay well past closing) cost us well below $300.....
Our vet would not do anything without our ok, definitely would never go back to that a vet that does unless it was a true emergency.......
