True story:
My ambulance crew called me to tell me they had a patient who claimed his bobcat was a service animal and demanded it go to the hospital with him in the ambulance. A call to the hospital and we found that we have to accept (with no paper work or certification proof) that this animal was in fact a service animal simply because the owner siad it was, and we are required to handle it as such. Luckly it all came to and end when law enforcement arrived on scene and determined the animal was exotic and could not be kept in the city. So we did not have to transport it with the patient. Crazy but true.
