Shortly after 911 a local elementary school asked my k-9 partner and I to stop by and visit their 5th grade class. We had done demos for the kids there in the past and even went to their class Christmas (Holiday) party. Unknown to me the class got together various gifts for my partner including treats, raw hides, hygiene items and toys. They gave me an American flag bandana. They wanted to thank us for keeping them safe and show their support. I was literally speechless. I still carry that banadana with me everyday nearly 14 years later.
