Has anyone done something so nice for your dog you cried?
Simply put yes.
Contrary to belief there are STILL nice people out there and they seem to come out of the woodwork to help when a pet is involved.
New Years Day 3 feet of snow on the ground and temps below zero and everything changed in what seemed like minutes when I went out to feed the horses.
My horse went down with colic. Vet came out and we couldn't save her and she was put down.
My vet went into instant help mode without even being asked to. Those of you with horses understand the importance of the next part.
I was just devastated. Within minutes the vet called a friend who called a friend and on New Years Day he managed to get a construction company with a backhoe with an ice tooth to my house and cleared the snow and was able to dig into the frozen ground to bury her.
A week later a box was delivered to my house. The vet had taken some of her tail and washed and braided for us as a remembrance. That just opened the flood gates for me.
Vet's are VERY special people. :C
