Well here's the recent scoop or development with Royal Canin and their Limited Ingredient Venison and Potato.
But first off, I want to thank everyone for giving me and Calvin your suggestions and or recommendations. We really appreciate them, as well as the time given!

OK now to the meat of this post. Calvin suggested (while I was writing a list of foods I'd buy when we saw his DOC this morning) that I contact Royal Canin to confirm if his food was being discontinued or not.
OK, good idea, we got nothing to loose so I contacted Royal Canin through their web-site.
We just got back from the DOC's, and found Alicia from Royal Canin's response in my list of emails;

Thank you for taking the time to contact Royal Canin, we appreciate your inquiry. The PV formula is not being discontinued. However, due to a raw material shortage, the dry PV has been intermittently out of stock recently. The canned food continues to remain available at this time. If you have any additional questions, please let me know.

BTW, his blood work check up went well. His enzine (?), (or whatever you call that's directly related to his liver) numbers regarding his liver is on a downward trend, as well as one of them is now back to normal.
The Boy will remain on his (a side from his 1/2 hour before he eats medication) daily SAM-e and Milk Whistle, Trisle, Trixstle, Tri??? ... Awh heck, the Milk supplement stuff since it seems to be working.
And Susan, as I figured with the extry walking / exercise. He's loosing weight, and leaning out! ...
Last, but never the least when you're talking about Calvin. He doesn't know anything yet so he's working on his tent making at the moment as he still thinks he's going Deer Hunting.
Not wanting to bust the Kid's bubble. I'll check out Amazon later on to see if they have a Stuff Deer on Wheels for sale.
If they do, I'll tie a string to it, then pull it in the parking lot. Calvin can watch it while in his tent, stalk it, then make the kill! ... Now that's gonna be a sight! ... LOL
