Good Afternoon Walter
Thank you for taking the time to contact Royal Canin. We appreciate your inquiry. The Hypoallergenic Selected Protein Adult PV is not being discontinued, however, due to unforeseen market conditions we have been experiencing difficulties in securing enough quality venison to produce the quantities required. Unfortunately, we anticipate that the supply challenges will continue, and result in periodic shortages of both the dry and wet diets. The product, however, is not being discontinued.
Since our industry continues to be challenged by venison shortages, we have recently enhanced the Selected Protein PV dry formula to include hydrolyzed soy protein. The addition of soy protein will help to increase the availability of the PV and limit some of the on-going out of stock concerns with this formula. We are recommending a 7-10 day transition when starting the new Selected Protein PV to avoid any gastrointestinal upset. You can do this as follows:
Days 1-3 75% old 25% new
Days 4-6 50% old 50% new
Days 7-9 75% new 25% old
Day 10 100% new
Unfortunately we do not have specific date to give you for when the Potato and Venison will be back in stock.
We would recommend that you try the canned Hypoallergenic Selected Protein PV as that is in stock or consider a 7-10 day transition onto the Hydrolyzed Protein HP or the Selected Protein PR. Ask your Veterinarian today if these diets are a good choice for your pet.

Good to know Walter! Thanks for taking the time! I presently have two cases on hand (roughly a month of food). However, to be on the safe side, I'll go ahead an order another four cases. When I get down to two months (four cases), I'll order another month. Then keep this order routine for here on out.
