How to keep cat from under dash ??

There will soon be a first time visit to RV by a cat who adopted us a couple of years ago. This is not a sleepy, mellow feline. 3-4 y.o. and full of energy.

I think the first time cat is let loose in the RV...it will scoot under and in the dash to hide out. How to prevent this ? Fit plastic fencing under and tie with cable ties ?

Any advice will be appreciated...and photos will be even better.
