My hat is off to you for adopting. We have previously adopted two rescue Goldens. Lost one at 14 yrs due to general age issues and last year lost the other at 12 years to cancer. Now looking for another. But interest in Goldens is very high. Local group handles over 150 each year. Recently went to a meet and greet and expressed interest in one we really liked. But so did 25 other people!! We were one of final 3 considered but didn’t get her. Will keep trying as we have a big empty spot now.
