Coat the pill in butter or margarine.
Put your thumb behind the dogs front canine tooth and press against the roof of the mouth. The reflex will be to open.
Using your other hand (finger) put the pill behind the tongue.
Shut the mouth quickly and hold shut while rubbing the underside of the neck.jaw...you can tell when the pill is swallowed.
This works 99.99% of the time if done correctly.
