I am at my wits end on trying to give meds

We had an old dog, an 8 lb Toy Fox Terrier, that required daily meds and he was very difficult, spitting out the meds. My wife finally was successful with Greenies Pill Pockets as per other posters, this was like a dog treat. You could start by giving one as a treat then have the next one waiting with the pill. If she still won't take it, get it in her mouth and then hold her snout closed and massage her throat area, mildly pushing the pill downward... be careful though not to push too hard and cause discomfort.
