I always realized how lucky I was giving our 110# Rottie her meds but hearing all your frustrations makes me really feel blessed. Anything resembling food I throw at her is caught and swallowed whole..... Our 55# Buddy is another act. I cut up pork or beef in about 3/4" cubes and quickly sear all sides. The inside still raw. I make a slit with an awl or small knife, insert the pill and the hole will close up. Sometimes rolling them in a little "Rub" helps. Liver is a better choice. It's strong flavor should cover any medicinal taste. When I fry liver it brings all three dogs to the kitchen.. Good luck..... You need it.... :)
