I am getting frustrated!!
We adopted a pet in 2014 with no problems. Went on their website and filled out the adoption process, they checked us out and we adopted the dog that we wanted.
Now it seems most of the adoptions services/rescues are doing it through face book and you are approved for adoption but not for the one you apply for.
I know what will fit in for my DH and I - I don't won't to be "talked into" another dog. On top of that, we can't/won't drive 100/200 miles away to "see" dogs that might/might not fit for us.
There are so many dogs that need a home why is it so hard to adopt? Is it a NC problem or am I crazy??
Just to clarify myself more please allow me to explain what we want/need:
A dog that that cannot jump over a 24in exercise pen- we live in a ranch house and have about 10 exercise pens clipped together that go from our screen porch to the backyard.
a dog that cannot jump over 2 "gates" that are 14inches high. We keep our dogs with us in the den/kitchen area with gates from the kitchen to the dining room and from the den to the hallway.
We have to small female dogs that are 10 years old, prefer a female and one that is an adult.
Would like to have an adult that is still healthy and does not have a lot of health issues. Paid over $6,000 in vet bills in 2014 and although can't know the future, don't want a dog that is in bad shape now. Wish we had the money to rescue one that is this way but just can't.
Now as far as house train/not I can handle that. As far as
dental, other things ok.
We are either being approved for a dog, just not the one we saw on their website or face book or no email return from the rescue.
Help!!
