Now it seems most of the adoptions services/rescues are doing it through face book and you are approved for adoption but not for the one you apply for.
Run don't walk away from that site. Definitely sounds like a puppy mill operation.
MANY puppy mills are now using face book and several of the public rescue sites to sell their puppy mill dogs under the guise of being a legit non profit rescue org. The internet is flooded with them.
I've taken the time to trace many of them and it's been my experience that 8 out 10 are puppy mills. They even go to the extent to put a dog on a bed with a small child take a picture and post it and say it's home raised etc. It's sad. And even sadder that many buy these dogs which in turns supports the puppy mills.:(
JMHO, IMHO adopting a dog for the family should be done IN PERSON and not off a website.
Every town has a shelter with dogs needing adopting. And every town has a kennel club that has rescues needing adoption. Both local to where one lives and that can be done in person. And these are dogs that 'really' need adopting. And they take the time to match the dog to who is adopting it and follow up. Just saying.
