I had the same conversation with my brother in CA. they made it impossible for him to get dog. I know he was offended.
there are some rescues here that are goofy about fences- my DW and the other 2 ladies make it easy to get the dog, yes they have a one page form and ask for some info, they want the right home for the dog
and on edit have turned people down- its about the dog
we have done reference checks and have been told by parents not to adopt to their kids- so it is good to check them out.
if you are from out of town they will have you send a few pictures of your home, we have had people come from Ohio, Michigan and Kentucky to get some of our dogs- and now I think I know why.
life is easy - I don't understand why some have to make it difficult and yes I will agree they are the wacko's!
