Congratulations to you and Sunny! It is so rewarding to watch the progress that they make. Even if it's only baby steps, a year from now you will look back and say "Wow, look how far we've come!"
Our Aussie female was abandoned in KY and lived on the streets for several months before she was live-trapped and put into rescue. She was actually in foster homes for almost a year before we adopted her. She still had a lot of fear issues when we got her and would tremble any time we'd look at her. Luckily for us, she loves praise and attention and treats are great too, so she's been super easy to work with.
