Izzy update

Izzy has been admitted to the hospital...she had quite the going over as it is day 2 for the new residents....so the exams were extensive and by many...they all were just amazed at how well behaved she is...and Zari as she was in the exam room also...Dr P has arranged for EKG, chest xray and blood work, also they called the Walden clinic while we were there and asked for a detailed anesthesia report of both her spay ( with Ketamine ) and the attempted enucleation last fall with the Propofol....then she will be seen by cardiology and anesthesiology tonight...surgery is booked for the a.m...but if she reacts they will stop immediately....Dr P likes them to return to their owners ASAP as she feels they settle better and take the pain meds better so she might come home tomorrow night or Friday night....depending on her vitals...they were kidding Izzy and Zari about all their bling...Dr P ask us to remove Izzys pearl and diamond necklace ( wink wink ) so that it didn't get stolen LOL We felt really good about leaving her with them, they were so attentive to her....Dr P, although very brusk with the students , was wonderful with Wayne and I...she was kidding us about Iz and Zar being a whole set of eyes if we harnessed them together she said she knew it was just not the politically correct thing to say but could not stop herself LOL Dr P also said that when Izzy is on the OR table you will hardly be able to find her for all the equipment they will have her hooked up to so they will know if there is the minutest change in her BP or pulse...she tenatively booked an ICU bed but will put her in step down/ward if all ok post-op...
