Sorry I'm laughing hysterically - been there, done that. Also one of the reasons I laugh at people who dress in haz-mat suits to dump their black tank. REALLY????? Did they dress similarly to change their kids' diapers??
I do wash after dumping,but a long,long time ago,I pumped septic tanks for almost a year after the Boeing crunch in Seattle and never got sick. I do clean up everything and keep it all put away neatly.I just figger that when it's family,you know where it came from. Several weeks ago,I watched a guy next to me in a campground in his 43' tag axle with macerator. He came out to dump his rig with knee high rubber boots and elbow length rubber gloves with a paper face mask and glasses. All he had to do was pull the hose out and stuff it in the hole and pull the plug. When he was done and everything all coiled up,he got out a sprayer tank and sprayed everything well with a bleach solution.
