Interesting turn this thread has made :B I won't share the types of things I've had my hands and other body parts (feet, face, arms legs) in over my career. Like most here, I wash after dealing with effluent.
The only caveat, a person who is immune compromised due to disease, medications or treatments probably does need to take those precautions.
