Kitty litter: How do you dispose of it while on the road?

At home or on the road, I use the clumping litter and scoop out once or twice a day. I put the plastic bag into an empty kitty litter pail and just tie and dispose of when convenient, maybe half full bag. The lid for the pail keeps the smell contained as well.

At home now, the powers above want the kitty litter in the 'green bin', compostable waste, I have to use the compostable bags, bigger pain for me but does cut down on the trash.
