Funny you should ask! We actually went to the rescue shelter to look at a different dog, but the meet and greet with Maddie was a disaster. That dog was very aggressive towards her. We then asked the adoption counselor if they had any other dogs that might be a good match for Maddie and for us, and she recommended Kramer. I guess he chose us! :B

I would say your both pretty fortunate that you found each other. I have to tell you how we adopted our little red Boston.

The DW was playing on the internet one night and she mysteriously found her way to a local rescue website. Here was a picture of a little red Boston which we're Boston lovers to begin with. He was a special needs little guy estimated to be 2 years old. Because of a birth defect he only had one eye and his little teeth were a mess and we knew the dental expense came with him. He was a breeder in a puppy mill and a walking frame.

I called the lady who immediately ask if there would be any men in the home. I told her yes and she said he's terrified of men and didn't know if it would work but she brought him to our home the next night. I met them at the door our other 3 Boston's were in the back yard. I opened the door and went up to the top of the steps and sat in the middle of the floor and told her to just put him down on the floor.

He looked up at me setting on the floor and bounded up the steps jumped in my lap and starts kissing me as if to say "Dad I'm home". Well the rest is history and we've never looked back. He is one of 2 of our camping buddies.
