MissC has passed on
Our beloved Chihuahua whose name was Cleopatra, has passed yesterday from an untreatable respiratory condition. we called her MissC, and that morphed into "Missy". She was 9 years old. She was like most Chi's and wanted to be with us constantly! She traveled and camped wonderfully. If she saw us heading for the door she would start Spinning excitedly wanting to go. The times she couldn't, you could see the disappointment, and when we came home she ran to the entry way, lay on her back until someone rubbed her tummy. She loved napping in the sun, but she really was happiest just resting on my lap. Such a sweetheart. She gave us her love, joy, and loyalty unconditionally. We camp at the beach a lot and I think running on the beach was her favorite thing to do. Something about that wide open space. She just had to run and explore it! Conversely, when we'd hike on a trail she wouldn't get far before she would stop and plead "Carry Me"! Like this, in the last photo we took of her a few weeks ago....

Two years ago we picked up an unwanted Chi pup pretty much to rescue her. We hoped for the best. The reception was well, see for yourself LOL....

A year later, and they are happily resting together on Dad's lap, and posing for a picture together. It turned out very well, and Petunia, AKA "Petey" already misses her.

Thank you for indulging me. I'm a 56 year old man, but I cry as I write this. Which is why I'm sometimes hesitant to click on other pet obits. I cry for them too. Please keep DW and I in your thoughts for the next few days as we have a huge hole in our hearts right now that Missy's memory will forever fill. Rest peacefully 'Ol Girl, see you on the other side.
One last shot- "Is that a can of tuna I hear being opened?"
