Multiple cats in travel trailer full time

Hello, My friend is planning a 3000 mile move in a travel trailer, they will be living in the travel trailer full time once here. The problem is they have 11 cats (2 ferals) and 2 birds. I think this is not a wi8se idea and I am worried for the welfare of the animals, it seems cruel, 11 cats in a travel trailer and also where are they going to stay? I can not imagine any campground or rv park that would allow that many pets. And what about any laws etc.?
I have been trying to convince them that this isn't a good idea. They refuse to listen.
Does anyone know of others who are living in a 30-40 ft. RV with that many pets. This does not seem doable to me.
Thanks for any advise, thoughts or other info

  • I agree, very cruel to the cats themselves and I can only imagine the smell...
  • ROL ROL....we have 2 cats, trained to ride in the 5th wheel since they were babies, that go with us. After 3 months, I'm ready to adopt them out....ROL ROL I can't imagine those cats will survive......only because the owners will have a BIG wake-up call.
The 2 ferel cats........not trained for a litter box! howling all day and all night....... In my opinion, that many cats, it IS cruelty to them, but nothing can be done about it.
  • I realize you are thinking for the safety and well being of the animals along with their parents/guardians. Maybe into the trip and before they get to your neighborhood, the light bulb will go off and they will realize that this decision is not smart. People have done dumber things in the past and things have worked out. Let them try and just hope that all turns out for the best and no one is lost or hurt or suffers. I can not think of the litter boxes for 11 cats.
  • yes this really seems crazy to me. It was hard for me to tell them, that they could not stay at my place with all those animals. But yes they say they are heading out here anyway. I feel bad for the animals and I believe they will end up in the wal mart parking lot, because I can not imagine anyone letting them stay at a campground or rv park. Sad. Thanks. I was just wondering if anyone would or does live/travel in an rv with that may pets.
  • We have several acres and I wouldn't want 11 outdoor cats, never mind in a TT.
  • You stated your opinion/objections/reasons.......not much else you can do.

Crystal ball.......only 9 cats finish trip (ferals will eat the birds and then escape first chance)
