I`de still like to know who decides what is aggressive. My late Shepherd was as calm and safe as can be, yes I stand by that! he grew up with my kids from when they were 2 and 3. never thought twice of leaving him alone with them, or any other child. I`m always reading how the Shepherd is one of the best family dogs! after having ours I completely agree! I avoid campgrounds that ban a family dog. and I let them know that they lost a customer because of it.
I had a Chow/Golden Retriever mix before I got married. and while he was a good, smart dog, I never trusted him with little kids. that was the Chow in him. So I can see the Chow being on a list, but rarely see it. the small dogs are the ones I tell my kids to becareful of!
