Service Animals are covered under the same laws as a handicapped person, the business owner is not allowed to refuse entry of the animal for any reason.
key to avoiding problems is state in the beginning that the animal is a Service Dog. Make sure the animal has a vest or applicable papers to prove it's a service animal. We have been turned away by a Taco Bell in our home town, after contact to the parent company they informed us the store has the authority to refuse entry. The next time I return to this store and am turned away the Feds will be contacted and I will be seeking the mgrs. job!
