We have three elderly Chihuahuas. Also yappy. At home we started with the "Egg".
Seemed to train them not to bark. Always been crate trained so not a problem. For the last year we have used a security camera that runs off wifi. Wife can punch it up on her phone and see & hear what they are doing while we are out. It also can "speak" back to them and tell them to hush up! It works!
