New buddy coming soon!

I have wanted an irish setter for as long as I can remember and we have been without a large breed for two years since the loss of our weimaraner. In two more weeks, our new puppy will be making the trek from NC to PA to join our family. It will be a treat to watch our mini aussie have a buddy to herd and help train. Pics coming soon

I recently picked up a blue healer / ausie mix. She is still training me. Congrats on your new puppy.

This mix is also known as a "Texas Heeler". We have a page on FB.
  • You have to meet and be around an Afghan Hound. Makes a Gordon look like Einstein.

    ROTFLMAO!

Have never had one, but love them. We had Gordon setters. A male Gordon setter is the dumbest thing known to man. We'd better see pics soon! :)

  • A rollicking breed, the Irish Setter is high-energy and requires regular exercise. His outgoing and stable personality make him a favorite with families. Their long, glossy red coat, although beautiful, must be groomed regularly to prevent snarls or mats. AKC

They are gorgeous! Especially in the full sun.

We rescued one 25 years ago. He was a trip! Not the smartest bulb in the box.

Still talk about him after all this time.

Be ready! And have a great time with him/her.

  • Can't wait to hear all about it and see the pics!

    Congratulations!
