Be glad you've found snakes skins only on the garage door; we've had them hanging from the pipes in our basement. We've also seen snakes in our attic.
Bird feeders will attract rodents (mice, rats, etc.) to what the birds drop; if the feeders are close to your house the rodents will be close to your house and more likely to come into your house.
Around here I see people wanting to move out to the country, then once out in the country they don't want to be near the wildlife that was already living here.
