I can't help but believe that the whole thing was a wee bit of an over-reaction on the man's part (and that's an under statement).
ALL the reports I've heard or read either say the baby was not injured or that it was a *very* minor scratch. And none of the reports indicate the authorities had much of a problem capturing the cat.
The whole thing kind of reminds me of the people who call 911 because the drive thru got their order wrong.
