Sounds like a great dog! Can you take him for a walk? He sounds like he's got some excess energy that needs burning off. Our rescue boxer, Jackson, doesn't like going out without us either. I think it reminds him of being out on the scary streets before he got picked up by animal control. He especially won't go out in the dark, unless one of us is right with him.
