Please pray for our Bella girl UPDATED
To all my friends on the pet forum, please please pray for our Bella girl. She's our 4 y/o Boston Terrier. She had a heat stroke this evening. She's in intensive care at the emergency animal hospital.
It appears that the neighbor had let her dog out and our girl was running up and down the fence chasing her and by the time we got to her she had collapsed. When I got her to the emergency clinic her temp was over 108 which is grave according to the vet. When we left just moments ago her temp was back down to normal. They are afraid of organ and brain damage but won't know for a few days according to the vet. They said she appears to be stable at this point but the long term damage is what there very concerned about. Providing everything goes okay tonight I will pick her up in the morning first thing and get her to our regular vet first thing tomorrow.

I just got a call from our vet over the noon hour. Bella's tests all came back great. He was quite frankly a little surprised as he was expecting some problems since her temp was so dangerously high last night. She isn't out of the woods completely as we have to re-run the blood work in 10 days to completely verify her organs didn't suffer any permanent damage, however he give's her an 85% chance of a perfect recovery. Were hoping for the best.
